This desert-inspired paper was designed and produced for Earthling Publication’s special edition of Frank Herbert’s novel Dune.

250 sheets of handmade flax paper were treated with dye made from pomegranate rinds, along with coarse sea salt to create a sandy texture. Once the dye dried, the salt was brushed away. Each sheet was finished with a layer of external gelatin sizing for added durability.
